BBs Belleville Boutique Leads the Downtown Retail Charge!

Dynamic duo, Pete Creal and Diedre Rivera-Creal look forward to opening by mid-June.

BB’s Belleville Boutique Opening at Lake View Center

“This is about making women feel fun, frilly and comfortable,” says co- founder Diedre Rivera-Creal, a well- respected area realtor and fiercely active community motivator whose passion for clothes goes back to her first job at the County Seat at the mall when she was just 15, “And it’s a key piece of the downtown Belleville puzzle. It’s another great reason to stay here in town. This is something new and needed.”

Conceived, created, owned and operated as a passion project by husband & wife superduo Peter Creal and Diedre Rivera-Creal, BB’s Boutique aims to restore a bit of that bustling, classic 1950’s Belleville feel that we see in historical pictures of our downtown.

“As the 48111 grows, why not keep people in town? Why not shop local?” asks Peter Creal, a talented career IT professional and consummate Belleville events volunteer, “We have such a great community. We want to bring back that old downtown spirit.”

In addition to women’s clothing, BB’s will offer stylish jewelry, bags, totes and sandals great for everyday shoppers as well as the seasonal lake crowd. It figures to be a unique and key fixture in the emerging downtown experience mix that will, in quick succession, add Belleville Bait Shop Bar and Grill, Rusted Crow, Gloria Jean Cafe, a high-end butcher shop and a few more surprise ;) retail offerings that are still being worked out.

Diedre and Pete are very thankful to all of the support from their strong group of friends, mentors and business partners. They also note that it takes a special sauce to jump headfirst into a new venture in addition to their already overfilled lives and careers.

“I’m so thankful to Pete. We’ve already got such a full plate that we couldn’t do something like this without both being 100% committed,” says Diedre.

BB’s Belleville boutique plans to officially open its doors mid-June, before the big second incarnation of Lake Fest. And thus Belleville continues it’s step-by-step evolution into a more comprehensive, all-in-one, destination.

We can’t wait to see the full lineup!
